Thestylized gameplayof Zenless Zone Zero can look better if you run it with a friend or two. However, you might need a guide to play multiplayer and co-op Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) with friends.
Does Zenless Zone Zero have multiplayer co-op?
Zenless Zone Zero does have multiplayer, but it’s more limited than you’d think. Since ZZZ isn’t open world, you can’t run around New Eridu with your friends like you could in Genshin Impact.
How to play co-op PvE in Zenless Zone Zero
you may do the Arcade Modewhich acts as the mini-game part of ZZZ. To do this, head tothe Random Play Store. This will be your starting location and will be the spot you’re going to visit most. Next, look for the VR Device. It should be beside the Workbench.
When you interact with the device, you’ll get a few options for mini-games to pick from. The one you want is theReckless Challenge. To unlock this mini-game, you have to progress the story of ZZZ. Currently, this seems to be the only mini-game that lets you play with up to two more players if you press theMultiplayer Challengeoption.
The Reckless Challenge isprimarily boss battlesthat can help you farm themany currencies available in ZZZ. They can be hard but with other players, things could get easier.
Note, that at the time of writing this, it seems co-op play is only available through this method.Additionally, at the moment it seems like it can’t be done with friends. In other words, for the time being,you can only match-make with other players.
There are alsoArcade games at Godfinger Arcadewhich is located on Sixth Street. Just like the Reckless Challenge, you won’t be able to access the Arcade until you’re somewhat deep in the story. Once you’re able to access the Godfinger Arcade, you can play the various games either alone or with another player.
How to play PvP in Zenless Zone Zero
Currently, the only way to play multiplayer is to play the Reckless Challenge mini-game or the Arcade. So, if you want to play PvP in ZZZ,that option isn’t available. However, since the game is still early in its life, we might see a form of PVP in the future.
Will multiplayer be expanded on in ZZZ?
If this game goes the way of HoYoVeres like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail,you should expect the multiplayer element to grow. To confirm this statement, the developer has stated that they plan on bringing more to this feature as they’ve done with the other two titles.
Once co-op and multiplayer functions are fully fleshed out, learning thedifferences between four and five-star characters in ZZZmight be easier to grasp.
