Where to find secret boss Topoda in Another Crab’s Treasure (Location)
There are lots of bosses to fight in the ocean, but some are better hidden than others. Check out where to find and fight the secret boss, Topoda, in Another Crab’s Treasure and you’ll get a very useful ability.
To start the journey and find the boss, you have to go throughCurdled Village. If you’ve unlocked theVillage Gates Moon Snail Shell, go there and head back into the village. This way, you’ll avoid most of the enemies (except the big hammer crab and sniper crab).

Since thesniper crabusually gets the better of me and destroys my health, I always suggest just running past it, or jumping past it in this case. Be prepared to get hit a few times before you make it. Just keep following the path and be carefulnot to falloff the cliff or you’ll have to deal with the crab again.
How to defeat Grovekeeper Topoda in Another Crab’s Treasure
Once you get past all of the enemies along the way, you’ll face off against Grovekeeper Topoda. Compared to other bosses, heisn’t too difficultto defeat.
During thefirst stageof the fight, he will mostly beswipingat you with his tail or hitting you with his hands. The most dangerous attack is thechained fist attack. You’ll recognize it’s coming when he comes straight at you, straightens up, and pulls his arms back in preparation. If you get hurt a lot, there is aCascadia Rollon the ground which you can use to heal, but I suggest bringing in theYoccult shellwith you to have a steady stream of healing.
Thesecond phaseis the tricky one. He’ll lift up acloud of sandso you can’t see and surprise attack you. You can use one of the manyCrab Husk shellsthat are in the battle area as a decoy while you attack Topoda.
Once you defeat him, Topoda waits for you to kill him, but Kril doesn’t want to. In gratitude, Topoda will give you theMantis Punch, a powerful adaptation that can be used to break purple blocks scattered throughout the ocean.
Topoda is even more helpful, as you can come to him at any time tolevel up your adaptations. For a certain amount of crystals, you can upgrade them to level three. He’ll also have a Moon Snail Shell teleport right next to him, so you can come back at any time you have enough crystals for an upgrade.
