Marvel Rivals, the upcoming online multiplayer game where players can select their favorite Marvel heroes and villains to fight against their opponents. The game is being made similarly to other competitive multiplayer games likeOverwatchand fans have noticed something peculiar.
NetEase Games is no stranger to online multiplayer games but this is by far the most ambitious project from the studio. Open beta tests were held and a handful of players got to try the game before launch and noticed some details about one character that could be adjusted before launch.
One Playable Character in Marvel Rivals Is About to Be a Menace to the Opposition
NetEase Gamesis doing everything to give the community an authentic superhero experience and there are some hurdles along the way. The gaming community recently noticed thatthe developers nerfed the abilities of Adam Warlock inMarvel Rivalsafter comparing two different previews released at different points in time.
Perhaps the developers realized they couldn’t accurately give all the characters like Warlock the same treatment in other adaptations and showcase them being fully overpowered. Warlock is not the only character with unique abilities that could be a game changer, some fans noticed one Spider-Man villain’s cooldown grants him a massive health burst.
The developers were proud to announcethe addition of new characters to the rosterand Venom is one of the new villains that was revealed. The character became a fan-favorite after countless iterations from live-action films to animated series and his recent encounter against the Spider-Men inMarvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Players already anticipated that the beta phase would expose plenty of internal issues regarding the gameplay and some players have already picked up onthe lackluster mobility of Iron Man. The developers need to nail these character traits and attributes to allow the players to feel like they are in the shoes of the heroes they selected.

The developers have years of experience and the advantage of having other materials to reference for designing a character’s special abilities. This cooldown perk will force players to race against their allies and call dibs.

Marvel Rivals‘ Venom could be only the beginning of new characters with beneficial cooldowns. Perhaps the designers will look into more suitable heroes and villains for future updates.
The gaming community understands the nature and lore of these characters and will likely complain if it seems off. The biggest critics tend to be the biggest supporters.
