If you were let down byThe Day Beforeand its unfortunate lacklustre release on Steam, then I have good news for you, as a new upcoming game is looking to take its place and do it so much better, as a new game calledNobody’s Leftis currently on its way.

Nobody’s Left could be Steam’s answer to the debacle of The Day Before.

At the moment, there is no official release date forNobody’s Left; however, from the small trailer that the game has posted onto Steam, it looks to be a rather fantastic experience as it takes its inspiration fromThe Last of Usand its game play, and its character is very clearly inspired by John Marston from theRed Dead Redemptionfranchise.

What Is Nobody’s Left, and Why Is It the Replacement for The Day Before on Steam?

Nobody’s Leftis an upcoming post-war survival game that places you in the shoes of a cowboy in the modern era who will do anything to survive in such a grim world. From what we have seen, the game will have minor horror aspects to it, but it won’t have any supernatural or science fiction aspects like zombies or ghosts.

However, that doesn’t mean that you are safe in this horrible world, as you will be tasked with sneaking around locations similar toThe Last of Usas you take down the many enemies that lurk within the game, or you can go in guns blazing and headshot your way to glory.

Nobody’s Left could be The Last of Us' replacement on Steam.

The only challenge with that second option, however, is the fact that the enemies won’t go down without a fight, as they are also equipped with a plethora of guns and other weapons that they can use to take you down.

To add to the challenge, players will also have to rely on their third-person shooting skills, as there will be no aim-assist withinNobody’s Left. This means that you will have to rely on your wits and skills to be able to get those head shots and quick scopes in without missing a vital shot that could save your life.

If this may sound familiar to you, that is becauseThe Day Beforealso had a similar tone to it, as it relied on players using stealth and weapons to overcome certain challenges; however, there were zombies inThe Day Beforerather than just humans who have gone crazy or homicidal.

Could This Be the Survival Game We Have Been Waiting For?

Throughout the many years of gaming, there have been countless different versions of survival games, which have constantly evolved with the times to create a unique experience that anyone can enjoy, whether they are horror fans or realistic survival fans.

But now, with games likeThe Last of UsandThe Forestcreating such a defined version of a survival horror game, it begs the question as to whetherNobody’s Leftwill become the next great survival game, or will it get lost in the collection with all the rest?

Even with its unique player character and standard premise, there isn’t a lot right now that makes the game stand out from the rest. There is a rather odd twist on the story that hasn’t had a lot of information revealed as of yet, but one of the tasks that will be set forward for the player is to solve the puzzle of what led to the world becoming as it was.

This is in the form of finding collectible items in the game that tell a larger story and hint towards what happened in the past that has led the world to become so grim in the first place. Sadly, there isn’t much more information regarding this except for the small shiny item that we see in the game teaser trailer on Steam.

IfNobody’s Leftlives up to the hype thatThe Day Beforecould never provide, then there is a chance that we could be looking at a new form of survival game, but until the game releases, we do not know where it will go. As the tagline says, “remember! Always expect the unexpected when nobody’s left to back you up!“.
