A recent Q&A session by producers Tomoyo Asano and Yasuaki Arai of Triangle Strategy shed some light on new details about the game including its length, difficulty modes and downloadable content.
Triangle Strategy Q&A with Producer Unveils Game Length, DLC and Difficulty Details
In the first episode of the Square Enix Asano Development Teams Radio featuring from Live A Live Tomoya Asano, producer Takashi Tokita and Triangle Strategy producer Yasuaki Arai went over the upcoming game Triangle Strategy. The title which releasesthis monthon March 4th is a strategy RPG with key choices tied to three convictions Utility, Morality and Liberty.
The episode covered a few questions aboutTriangle Strategyincluding the game’s length. Players can expect roughly “30 hours to reach one the endings” according to Asano. There are also no plans for DLCs at the this moment, with Asano explaining they would rather “start working on another game” and usually don’t produce downloadable content for their games.

As for the difficulty there is a Hard Mode which is designed for “those looking for a solid challenge” according to producer Yasuaki Arai. Best suited for veterans of tactical RPGs according to Asano. So if you think normal mode isn’t scratching that challenge itch, hard mode might be your preferred difficulty.
In case you missed it Triangle Strategy is an RPG with retro-styled characters but mixed in with HD backgrounds. The game sets to combine tactics with decision making, as players use a grid-like system to attack enemies and place their characters in battle. While players will get to make a number of decisions, the Scales of Conviction will come into play for momentous decisions which means multiple characters will get to weigh in on the vote. You can position units on higher levels of ground, flank enemies, and even use elemental chain reactions such as melting icy terrains.
