Is the Galaxy S25 Edge really worth $1,100? I went hands-on and here are my thoughts

The first thin phone has arrived, but does it live up to the hype?

The Galaxy S25 Edge is a sleek powerhouse

Its biggest compromise is battery life

TheGalaxy S25 Edgestands out as the thinnest Galaxy phone to date, measuring a mere 5.8mm in thickness and weighing 5.7oz (163g). Its slim design doesn’t compromise performance; it is equipped with the same powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor found in the other S25 models, effortlessly tackling productivity tasks, gaming, and Gemini AI.

The S25 Edge features a 6.7-inch AMOLED 2x display with a 120Hz refresh rate and adaptive color tone. However, the trade-off for its slender form is battery life, as evidenced by its 3,900mAh battery – which falls short compared to the Galaxy S25’s 4,000mAh and the S25+’s 4,900mAh batteries. Moreover, the S25 Edge has one less rear camera than its counterparts. The S25 Edge has a 200-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, alongside a 12-megapixel front camera.

Despite these trade-offs, the Galaxy S25 Edge remains an attractive option for anyone seeking a lightweight, yet powerful smartphone. The pre-order promotion is available until May 30, when the Galaxy S25 Edge launches globally.
