Last week, The Street posted a rundown of a Viacom earnings call, where Paramount Pictures' parent company revealed that principal photography has wrapped onTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. It isn’t known when exactly filming wrapped, but we haven’t seen any photos from the set since late June, when we saw the motorcycles ridden byBebop and Rocksteady(Gary Anthony WilliamsandStephen Farrelly). Production started back in April in New York City, under the direction ofDave Green(Earth to Echo).

The screenwriters wrote the script for last year’sTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which took in $485 million worldwide from a $125 million budget. Very little is known about the story at this point, although many fans were pleased about the inclusion of fan-favorite characters Casey Jones, Bebop and Rocksteady. There has also been a rumor that the sequel will feature a live-action version of Krang, a villain created for the original animatedTeenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesTV series.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2is set for release on July 13, 2025, putting it up against the Warner Bros. romanceMe Before You, starringEmilia ClarkeandSam Claflin, and Universal’sTop Secret Untitled Lonely Island Movie, which starsAndy Samberg,Jorma TacconeandAkiva Schaffer. Now that principal photography has been completed, fans begin the long wait for the first trailer, poster and photos. It isn’t clear when we may see the first footage or images yet, but we’ll keep you posted as soon as we have word regarding their arrival.
With the introduction of Casey Jones, Bebop and Rocksteady, this will surely bring in even more fans who are familiar with these characters from the original animated series.
