Sony have announced in a new blog post that Playstation VR2 will be releasing worldwide on February 22nd 2023.
Sony Reveals Playstation VR2 Will Launch in February 2023
The Playstation VR2 headset will be launching worldwide onFebruary 22nd 2023according to Sony’s latest announcement. Revealed in the blog post today, the new PS VR2 headset will be winging its way to players early next year. The headset will retail at $549.99 USD/ €599.99 / £529.99 / ¥74,980 which includes the headset, PS VR2 Sense controllers and stereo headphones.
Horizon Call of the PS VR2
Sony also unveiled a special edition bundle featuring Horizon Call of the Mountain set at $599.99 / €649.99 / £569.99 / ¥79,980. This includes a voucher code for Horizon Call of the Mountain as well as the full VR set. Also detailed was the pricing for the controller charging station which will be sold at an RRP of $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99 / ¥5,480.
As for how you can get your hands on the headset, for those in the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlanders and Luxembourg will need to pre-order through the official Playstation website. Pre-orders will be available starting November 15th and order will arrive on the week of launch.
PS VR2 features Sense Technology, highlights include headset feedback, eye tracking, 3D audio and adaptive triggers as well as haptic feedback. Together with the high fidelity visuals of 4000 x 2040 HDR video format, it will be feast for the senses for players.
Previously Sony revealed that Horizon Forbidden West would be receiving exclusive content calledHorizon Call of the Mountain. This VR addition will let players step into the shoes of the former Shadow Carja, Ryas. Features include experiencing hunting, climbing mountains, as well as taking down machines. Seeing Horizon in this VR space will be great for fans who want to step into this world.

Also revealed are the games heading to PS VR2 which includes Crossfire: Sierra Squad, The Light Brigade, Cities VR - Enhanced Edition, Cosmonious High, Hello Neighbor: Search and Rescue, Jurassic World Aftermath Collection, Pistol Whip VR, Zenith: The Last City, After the Fall, and Tentacular. All these titles are expected to release in 2023, and Sony are expecting to release 20 titles.
