Today is Samsung Unpacked day, and, as we’ve seen from other companies, it’s an all-online event. It was a very busy one, too, withSamsungunveiling a handful of new devicesfor potential buyers.
There is a lot to go through, but we’ll start with Samsung’s newest smartphones that don’t fold in half, the Galaxy Note20 series. Let’s dig right in.

The Galaxy Note20 series
Galaxy Note20
It starts with the Galaxy Note20, which you can see pictured at the top of this article. The company is going for a near bezel-less design, with a hole-punch in the top-center of the screen to house the front-facing camera. And, of course, Galaxy Note20 owners will get the S Pen stylus accessory as well. The company says the device has a longer-lasting battery, better precision, and even more gestures for handling tasks like taking a screenshot or returning to the home screen. The S Pen is the same for both the Galaxy Note20 and the Galaxy Note20 Ultra.
As far as what you can expect from the Galaxy Note20, here’s how it breaks down.

The Galaxy Note20 features Samsung’s Space Zoom feature, which boasts 3x Hybrid Optical Zoom and up to 30x Super Resolution Zoom. It also supports tracking autofocus and optical image stabilization.

And next, we’ve got the second-generation of Samsung’s first foldable smartphone, renamed to better line up with the company’s other foldable devices. Please welcome the Galaxy Z Fold2.

The newest foldable
Galaxy Z Fold2
Now, unlike the other two handsets Samsung announced today, information about the Galaxy Z Fold2 is actually pretty light. Samsung says we’ll learn more about the foldable smartphone sometime in September, but, for now, we’re basically working with scraps. We don’t know when the handset will launch, and we don’t know how much it will cost. (The original Galaxy Fold started at $1,980.)
However, wedoknow that the Galaxy Z Fold2 features a full-size 6.2-inch display on the front of the handset, making it easier to use when it’s closed. And when the foldable phone is opened, the interior screen measures in at just over seven inches. Samsung also did away with the weird notch and is instead using a hole-punch to take offer up even more screen real estate.

And that’s all we have for now. As soon as we know more, we’ll pass it along.
