Pathfinder: Wrath of the RighteousMidnight Bolt locations guide (Ascension secret ending)
The Midnight Bolt items inPathfinder: Wrath of the Righteousare scattered in multiple locations throughout the campaign. The ammo itself deals 50 damage that can’t be ignored or reduced, which seems like an easy way to take out regular mobs. However, you should only use these when fighting Demon Lords. Doing so nets youNahyndrian Crystals, which are necessary if you want to obtain the Ascension secret ending.
Prologue and Act 1: Kenabres Market Square
At the start of the game, you’re presented a choice between shooting the crossbow or casting a spell when Deskari shows up. Choose to shoot the weapon. Then, in Act 1, you’ll be able to visit Kenabres’ Market Square. Head over to the festival grounds where the prologue took place. You should find a Midnight Bolt on one side of the area, and a Purple Stone Knife in the other (this item acts as a Nahyndrian Crystal, too).
Act 3: Areelu’s Lab
There’s a square room in the main portion ofAreelu’s Lab(i.e., the one closest to the circular chamber with the imprisoned Angel). Do keep in mind that this location is extremely important if you want to get the secret ending. This is where you’ll find the first page of the Lexicon of Paradox, the Suture demon, and a bunch of other noteworthy items.
Act 3: Ivory Sanctum
you may find this in one of the rooms close to the northeastern portion of theIvory Sanctum.
Act 4: Nocticula’s Palace
Once you’ve increased your reputation in Alushynirra, you’ll be granted an audience with Nocticula in the House of Silken Shadows. Check the library to the left, where you’ll find this item, as well as the second page of theLexicon of Paradox.
Act 4: Colphyr Mines
Upon reaching the lower level of the mines, head to the northern section where you’ll see tortured prisoners and cages. You’ll find another Midnight Bolt on the table.
Act 5: Ineluctable Prison
Head over to the southern section of theIneluctable Prison dungeonpast the hallways with boulder traps. You should be able to interact with a plate that reveals steps leading down to a small area. Take out the enemies here and grab the Midnight Bolt that’s lodged on the statue of Baphomet.
There’s aruined manor in Iz. The entrance is in the eastern part of the map next to the grounds with the Sword of Valor/Crusader army. Be forewarned, however, that you must prioritize the Temple to grab a couple of noteworthy items (i.e., Glass Key and Key Crystal), which you’ll need to bring to Areelu’s Lab to unlock a secret area.

I digress. Point is, verify you get those items first, then head to the grounds to enter the ruined manor. Battle a few foes and head to the second floor to pick up the Midnight Bolt.
Treasure of the Midnight IslesDLC
A Midnight Bolt is given to you by Nocticula near the end of theTreasure of the Midnight IslesDLC.
Note:In any case, these are the Midnight Bolt locations inPathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. Don’t forget that you can only receiveFresh Nahyndrian Crystalsif you use the ammo to hit specific Demon Lords.
