Ninja Gaiden 2 Blacklaunched onJanuary 23forPS5, Xbox Series, and PC, and is also available onXbox Game Pass. This spectacular remaster of the 2008 hack-and-slash classic wasn’t without its issues, but Koei Tecmo has just released amajor updateintroducingNew Game+, aPhoto Mode, various gameplay tweaks, and bug fixes.
All the New Features in Ninja Gaiden 2 Black
Players can now start a new game on a previously completed difficulty level thanks toNew Game+, retaining allunlocked weapons and Ninpofrom their previous playthrough. However, upon starting, all weapons and Ninpo will reset tolevel 1.
APhoto Modehas also been added to the options menu, allowing players to move the camera within certain limits to capture stunning screenshots.
Additionally, a new"Show Projectile Weapon"option has been added to the game’s settings, allowing players tohide ranged weaponswhen carried on the back.

Ninja Gaiden 2 Black is aremastered versionof the2008 action classic, originally developed byTeam Ninjaand directed byTomonobu Itagaki. This new version has beenrebuilt using Unreal Engine 5, bringingmajor visual upgrades, including4K textures, advanced lighting,and astable 60 FPS frame rate. Additionally, theblood and gorefrom the original title have been fully restored.
It also includesplayable charactersfrom Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (2009), such asAyane, Rachel, and Momiji, making this theultimate way to experience the game.
