Microsoft has revealed plans to show off new Surface Copilot+ PC devices on May 6, according to anannouncement posted on X. The post reads, “Something new is coming…find out next week 👀 .” Beyond that though, the post doesn’t hint at anything else related to the upcoming reveal.

The announcement comes just ahead of Microsoft’s 2025 Build developer conference that runs from May 19-25. Last year, the tech giant revealed its 2024 Surface devices at Build, but it appears the company is adopting a different strategy for the remainder of its 2025 Surface device lineup.

Adding to this, other reports hint that Microsoft could have plans toditch its proprietary magnetic Surface Connect chargerin favor of USB-C.

Earlier this year, Microsoft revealed the 11th generation Surface Pro and 7th generation Surface Laptop for business. Both devices are equipped with Intel’s latest Core Ultra Series 2 chip and, of course, Copilot+. Pocket-lint will have more on Microsoft’s upcoming Surface reveals next week.
