Over the past few days, new photos of the Autobots inTransformers: The Last Knighthave been released through the sequel’s official Twitter. We’ve shown you a closer look at the new Vespa scooter AutobotSqweeks, along with Crosshairs, Drift, Hot Rod and, of course, Optimus Prime. Today we have one more Autobot to unveil, Hound, along with the Decepticon leader Megatron and the evil cop car Decepticon Barricade. If that wasn’t enough, we also have a new video featuring returning starJosh Duhamel.
Like the previous photos released onTwitter, we get some key stats for Hound and his Decepticon enemies Megatron and Barricade. For instance,Megatronis the tallest of this trio, standing 30 feet tall, while Hound is just 24 feet tall and Barricade is 16 feet tall. Hound is described as a “boisterous Autobot commando” who “always has his finger on a trigger.” Barricade is a “duplicitous Decepticon sentry,” who is sent to “punish and enslave,” instead of to protect and serve like a regular cop. Megatron is the “ruthless Decepticon oppressor” who seeks “peace through tyranny.”
The officialTransformers 5Facebook also released a new video this week withJosh Duhamel, who returns to reprise his role from the original trilogy as Lennox, after sitting outTransformers: Age of Extinction. This video features the actor at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Arizona, and although we don’t exactly know what they’re shooting there, we get a brief glimpse at directorMichael Bay, whileJosh Duhamelreveals how proud he is to be at this Air Force base. Hopefully we’ll get many more videos as production continues on this epic action sequel.
The Last Knightcenters on Optimus Prime, who has been searching through the cosmos for the Quintessons, the beings believed to be responsible for the creation of theTransformersrace. Meanwhile back on Earth,Wahlberg’s Cade Yeager will be facing a new alien threat that bringsJosh Duhamel’s Lennox andTyrese Gibson’s Epps back into duty.Isabela Moneris playing the female lead, though no character details have been revealed.Jerrod Carmichael(NBC’sThe Carmichael Show) has also come aboard in an unspecified supporting role, possibly serving as this sequel’s comedy relief.
