Actor Matt Damon mentioned that he was lucky he did not have to face such an ordeal when he stepped out for vacations or just on errands. Citing Brangelina as an example, Damon mentioned how difficult it was for celebrities of their stature to have a normal life without being surrounded by the media or fans.
Calling the two ‘prisoners’, Damon told TELLE 5 (viaTHR) that his friend Pitt andAngelina Jolie’ssituation was terrible. He said,
I have friends who are like prisoners. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, for instance. They can’t just go someplace. If they go for a walk, it turns into an international incident.
He called himself lucky for not having to deal with such a crowd all the time. Though Pitt and Jolie are now divorced, the media interest in the former couple and their legal battles still seem to make headlines.

I’m not as crazy as most of the other stars. I don’t really know why, probably because I married a woman who isn’t an actress. And we live in New York. As long as we don’t show up in typical tourist spots, we can walk the streets without being noticed. New Yorkers are very cool, they don’t flip out if they see me.
He also mentioned that his life revolves around his wife and family of four daughters.
