Lost Ark September Content Update Brings The Third Legion Commander Raid and More!

Welcome home,Heroes of Arkesia! After an extended content break, Smilegate RPG and Amazon Game Studios are yet again ready to bring more exciting things to their popular MMORPG. The previous major updates were back inJunewhenVykas was introduced, and inJulywhen theArcanist classwas released.

Releasing today are two major bits of content:Kakul-Saydonthe third Legion Commander Raid, and theMachinist class! Let’s take a look at each of these, as well as the rest of the goodies coming in Lost Ark’s September Update!

Hello, Vykas

Lost Ark’s Clown Prince of Crime

Joining the likes of Valtan and Vykas is Kakul-Saydon, the hardest demon commander available in the western version of Lost Ark. This three-gate instance will pit players against the Mayhem Legion and its fearful leader himself. The entire fight will take place in the Midnight Circus, a horrifying caricature of the supposedly joyous destination.

Kakul-Saydon’s encounter will have two difficulties initially: Normal and Rehearsal. There’s no news if a Hard Mode will be implemented anytime soon like the other two commanders. Players will need to have attained at least item level 1475 to attempt Normal Mode. Rehearsal mode, on the other hand, will only require Item Level 1385 and is intended to be a practice mode for the real thing.

Welcome to the Midnight Circus

It is odd though that both modes share the same lockout. That is, if a player completes any gates on Rehearsal Mode, they can no longer gain rewards of Normal and vice versa. It kind of defeats the purpose of practicing the encounter, as it is notoriously known for its difficulty.

To reward players for triumphing against the leader of the Mayhem Legion, they will get new currencies. Namely, these are Mayhem Marks and Mayhem Trumpets. Mayhem Marks will be used for general-purpose rewards, such as crafting materials, or card packs. The Mayhem Trumpets are more interesting, as they will be the primary resource used to upgrade current Relic-Tier gear’s set bonuses. Essentially, player power will skyrocket once they are able to farm enough Horns.

Everything is Fine

I am Iron Man!

The second most exciting piece of content being added today in Lost Ark is the Machinist class. Machinists are the fifth advanced class of theGunner, and are joining theGunslinger,Artillerist,Deadeye, andSharpshooter.

We already discussed the Machinist at length in ourprevious article, so do be sure to check that out. But in a nutshell, this class is the most technologically advanced. He is unique in the sense that he has a trusty drone companion that follows him around. Machinists have skills that focus on the player themselves, the drone, and synergy skills that involve the two. The Machinist can even transform into basically Ironman with his Hypersync Suit class identity skill.

The Hypersync Suit

Machinists will also be getting two new skins in two different colors in this patch. The first one is called the “Robotics Skin” and looks like a rad mix of Lost Ark andCyberpunk jackets. Our next, though not as impressive, skin is the Dawn Skin, which gives off some futuristic soldier vibes.

Even More Lost Ark Catch-Up Mechanics

An unexpected announcement made for this update cycle is the addition of two more progression events. Honing Gear is basically 70% of Lost Ark, as you tend to upgrade gear more than you find them.

The first is the confirmation of another Punika Powerpass. Lost Ark players received one back in July with the introduction of the Arcanist class. Punika Powerpasses basically advance any character to item level 1302 and complete the entire storyline until the Punika region. Essentially, this lands the character at the very start of their Tier 3 Journey. The only requirement to obtain one of these rare gifts is that players have already completed the “Berver’s Friend” roster quest. Additional Punika Passes can be purchased for about $40 separately.

Next, we have a set of Special Event Missions. Players can assign any character in their roster that is between Item Level 1302 and 1415 to undertake these quests. As a reward, they will be granted a large amount of honing materials which will effectively fast-track their way to item level 1415.

Lastly, the “Growth Support Effect” bonuses for characters between item level 1302 and 1370 has also been expanded to 1415 instead. This will let characters become Lost Ark endgame-ready and will be able to tackle challenges such asArgosand Normal Mode Valtan. The Growth Support Effect reduces materials required to hone as well as gives honing chances a fixed increase in success rate.

The Rest of the Stuff

The first three sections are the most exciting parts of today’s update. In other news, the Server Merges will start today as well. He previously touched upon this, and will mostly affect Western Europe, Central Europe, and South America regions.

Various fixes and enhancements are being added as well. We will also be getting the Magick Society skin set. This set is basically school uniforms and hoodies. Perfect for students’ return to school!
