Calling all wizards, witches, and potterheads, who utterly enjoyed watching the beloved fictional sport played on flying broomsticks called Quidditch. Here’s some news from theHarry Potterfranchise about the chosen one and his resentment towards the infamous Wizarding World game. While Harry was known for his natural talent at Quidditch, Daniel Radcliffe absolutely hated the scenes.
Essentially, the midair version of rugby, played while riding flying broomsticks was the most uncomfortable part of shooting, for Daniel Radcliffe. During a 2009 interview, the actor mentioned being extremely relieved after knowing there wouldn’t be any Quidditch in the seventh film installment. Apparently, the fan-favorite moment was torture for the young actor.

Daniel Radcliffe Hated Filming Quidditch Scenes
One of the most epic and fan-favorite moments from theHarry Potterfilms lies in the entertaining aspect of the wizarding world version of rugby, Quidditch. Not just in the books, but even the film version of the game was highly appreciated by fans. However, to potterheads’ surprise,Daniel Radcliffeabsolutely hated filming Quidditch scenes.
Despite the chosen one being a natural talent in Quidditch, the actor himself had nothing but resentment for the scenes. Evidently, sitting on floating broomsticks high up in the air, while delivering a riveting performance was indeed a difficult task. According to Radcliffe, he found the fan-favorite scenes quite torturous.
“Quidditch is right up there with the least fun things I’ve done on ‘Harry Potter’ certainly. It is not a pleasant experience, it does hurt quite a lot and it is not something I would be rushing back to do!”
Hating the scenes to his core, Daniel Radcliffe mentioned how relieved he was upon learning that the seventh installment of the film series won’t be featuring a Quidditch match. Radcliffe shared,
“I had to do it for all of the movies, pretty much, so that’s been my favourite thing about the seventh one. No Quidditch!”
But, he wasn’t the only one who hated Quidditch. Apparently, evenTom Feltonwasn’t a big fan of the game.

Although Daniel Radcliffe was totally against filming Quidditch scenes, he was often criticized by fans for not including the game sequences a bit more. The craze for Quidditch increased to such an extent that Potterheads even adaptedJ.K. Rowling‘s literary invention into real life.
Well, no matter how strange it might sound, the game actually exploded worldwide and turned into a phenomenon in less than a decade. Further, with Avalanche Software developing an immersive, open-world action RPG, fans started demanding more Quidditch in the game as well.
