Henry Cavill got super uncomfortable with Amy Adams when the latter actress started talking about a kissing scene that didn’t work out. Graham Norton asked Adams about a special kissing technique that she learned from David O. Russell. Talking about what the special technique was, Amy Adams jokingly said that it didn’t work with co-star Henry Cavill.
“David O. Russell has a thing with tongue. Yeah, he likes to see it”saidAmy Adamswhile making a weird face to show what she was talking about.“I tried that with Henry, it didn’t work. They were like ‘Ew, what’s that?'”

In a recent interview, the co-head of DC Studios clarified that they never fired Henry Cavill. James Gunn stated that they simply did not hire the actor for further projects in the DCU. Although the comment seems unnecessary, James Gunn indeed feels sorry for Cavill since he has departed several franchises all at once.
“I like Henry, I think he’s a great guy. I think he’s getting [messed] around by a lot of people, including the former regime at this company. But this Superman is not Henry, for a number of reasons.”
James Gunn further stated that the movie is not about Henry Cavill but it is about Superman.
“For me, it’s about, who do I want to cast as Superman, and who do the filmmakers we have want to cast? And for me, for this story, it isn’t Henry.”
With his departure from the DCU, Cavill also leftThe Witcherfranchise due to a creative difference between the actor and the showrunner. The actor was also considered for the role of James Bond in the franchise’s upcoming movies but not much came out of it.
