In an interview on theHappy Sad Confusedpodcast,Elizabeth Olsenrevealed how annoying it was to have constant changes made in the script. When asked whether the script resembled the original draft or not, Olsen replied,

“It resembled more than I thought it was going to. I mean, there were definitely moments where… there’s a point in making the movie where I just stopped reading drafts. I was just like, ‘This is going to change again. Just keep me posted with the information I need and you guys fill in the blanks that you need. But I’ll just keep my lane…’ That one was a wild ride.”
With Olsen calling her experience nothing short of a ‘wild ride’, we can make out the shoot presented definite challenges for theMarvelactress. Despite the bottlenecks and problematic changes, Elizabeth Olsen still managed to present us with an amazing performance. It is not easy to have last-minute changes when portraying a character as complex as Wanda, but Olsen being competent as she is, managed to complete the job with as much grace and finesse as possible.

Elizabeth Olsen’s Sudden Character Change Disappoints Fans
If you recall watchingWandaVision, it showcased Wanda with somewhat of a redemptive arc. Despite the comics turning Wanda into a villain, fans did not expect that MCU would so quickly set her up for her destiny. In the second installment ofDoctor Strange 2, we see Wanda turning back into villainy, much to the fan’s disappointment. The sudden character change was too shocking for many fans, who thought it was way too soon to present the evilness of Olsen’s character.
Furthermore, Elizabeth Olsen’s revelation that the makers of theMultiverse of Madnesshad not even seenWandaVisionangered the fans even more. Since many of the emotions portrayed were just an extension of what we saw inWandaVision,Multiverse of Madnesslooked repetitive. Well, guess this is what happens when there is a clear line of miscommunication. Looks like MCU has a lot to work on in terms of establishing clear communication for successful storytelling.
