A couple of titles get added to the Gamescom line-up, The Callisto Protocol and Telltale’s The Expanse.
Gamescom Line-up Adds The Callisto Protocol & Telltale’s The Expanse
Two space-themed games are joining the showcase of games at Gamescom next week. Both the sci-fi horror The Callisto Protocol and Telltale’s The Expanse will be shown at the conference. Geoff Keighley recently confirmed both games will be joining Opening Night Live which kicks off Gamescom on August 23rd.
The Callisto Protocol
In case you missed itThe Callisto Protocolsets to be a spiritual successor toDead Space, with plenty of space-filled horrors. Players will combat these mutated creatures with the use of a gravity-based restraint device or GRP that lets you pull and push targets away from you. Developer Striking Distance went over afew points of combatin July, including some closed/tight spaces that will indeed create heart-pounding moments, especially when you’re face to face with some not-so-friendly monsters.
It looks like we’ll be getting some fresh gameplay footage this time around:

The Expanse
The Expanse on the other hand is Telltale’s newest IP to join the collection of games based on the TV series. The newly reformed Telltale Games is working on a narrative-driven title that follows Camina Drummer, in events that take place prior to the series. Drummer is in the search of a mysterious treasure on the edge of the Belt.

According to Geoff Keighley The Callisto Procotol and The Expanse are a part of over 30 games set to be shown that night, in the 2 hour segment. The live stream will start at 11AM PT.
Recently the RPG set in the Harry Potter universe,Hogwarts Legacywas announced to beshowcased during ONLas well, after news of its launch had been pushed to 2023.
