Bethesda have announced that the Fallout 76 update called Wastelanders will be delayed in its release until next year.

Fallout 76 Wastelanders Update Delayed Meaning NPCs Arrive Next Year

The Wastelander update is quite a significant update to the world ofFallout 76because it is meant to introduce human NPCs which were not part of its launch. The online multiplayer didn’t come with these NPCs due to its post-apocalyptic nature, instead players could learn about the events that proceeded by listening to a number ofHolotapesthat were dotted around theWild Appalachiaand interactions came from meeting other players in the game.

But due to feedback Bethesda decided it was time to introduce some human life into Fallout 76 in the form of NPCs. Its arrival however will be delayed until next year, originally it was meant for a fall release. Bethesda are adding private servers next week though.

Also “in the future” private servers will allow players to add mods, will be interesting to see what the modding community comes up with.
