Successful Network Test & Playable Classes

Elden Ring: Nightreignheld a network test in February, allowing PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players to try the game before launch. The feedback was generally positive.

During this test, players could choose from only four classes:Wylder, Guardian, Recluse, and Duchess. The final version will feature a total of eight, meaning four more classes have yet to be revealed.

Or rather, three—because just hours ago, a brand-new class was introduced. MeetIroneye, and yes, there’s a trailer showcasing their abilities.

The Game’s First Archer Class

Perhaps with the help of this skilled archer (remember, ranged combat is a new mechanic in soulslikes), it will be easier to defeatGladius, Beast of the Night, who has only been vanquished 58,615 times so far.

One thing players felt was missing inElden Ring: Nightreign’snetwork test was a warrior specializing in ranged attacks. But worry not—Ironeye fills that gapperfectly. And their design? Absolutely badass.

At first glance, Ironeye appears to be asniper-styleclass (comparable to a multiplayer shooter), making them an ideal support character for melee warriors.

Acrobatic Archery & Unique Combat Style

Ironeye can fire arrows mid-air while flipping, or even while running along walls, thanks to Assassin’s Creed-style parkour abilities. It looks spectacular.

In the trailer, Ironeye is seen attacking a boss withfire arrows, using ashockwaveto clear nearby enemies, and even piercing foes with arrows from their bow.

Elden Ring: Nightreignplayers are hyped for Ironeye’s arrival, as they’ll surely be a valuable asset to theWylder, Guardian, Recluse, and Duchessclasses—or at least three of them (since the mage can already cast ranged spells).

Multiplayer Focus with Future Content

Remember, the game is designed forthree-player co-op. It can be played solo, but due to its high difficulty, that’s not recommended. In the future, the game is expected to receive newskins, classes, bosses, and even atwo-player mode.
