How to Romance Lucanis Dellamorte in Dragon Age: Veilguard
To romance Lucanis, you will first need to recruit him as your companion, which is done by completing the ‘Sea of Blood’ main quest. He can then be found in the pantry behind the dining hall of the Lighthouse.
So whenever you complete a main or a side quest, check back at his location and look for a speech bubble, exclamation mark, or a clock sign. These are limited-time events that give you the opportunity to increase your bond.
Additionally, since Lucanis loves coffee, buy the Antivan Tea Set gift from a Crow merchant in Treviso. This action will give you the Fit For a Crow side quest, where you will be required to give this gift to Lucanis.
NOTE:You will completely wipe out chances of romancing Lucanis if yousave Minrathous instead of Treviso during ‘A Warden’s Best Friend’main quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Quests to Complete
Completing Companion and Faction quests are the two best ways to increase approval rating with our companions in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. So, here is a list of missions you need to complete if you want to romance Lucanis.
During the missions we mentioned above, and while having conversations with Lucanis, always look for an option with a heart symbol. These answers automatically favor you in progressing the romantic relationship.
Lucanis will start a relationship with Neve Gallus if you do not commit a relationship with them and complete their quests in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

How to Romance Neve Gallus in Dragon Age: Veilguard
Even though you recruit Neve very early in the game, the option to romance with her takes time. You will start getting flirty conversation options with Neve once you have recruited all companions. So ensure you are paying attention and not missing out on heart symbol conversation options.
Neve Gallus is a mage and a detective. The Collected Evidence is the gift you need to buy from the Shadow Dragons merchant in Dock Town early on in the game and give to Neve to increase your bond significantly.
NOTE:Neve will become temporarily unavailable as your companion if you save Treviso instead of Minrathous. She will also become hardened; her support abilities will be disabled and increasing bonding will require more time. However, this choice will not lock you out from romancing Neve, unlike Lucanis.
Completing the following quests will give you the opportunity to strengthen your bond with Neve:
Always go back to the Lighthouse after missions and check on Neve. These small conversations often give you the opportunity to continue flirting and increasing your bond with Neve, which eventually blooms into romance near the main story’s end.
If you do not commit to any companion for a romantic relationship and complete all of Neve’s quests, then she will start a relationship with Lucanis in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
How to Romance Lace Harding in Dragon Age: Veilguard
Lace Harding is the first companion you get and you can start strengthening your bond right away. However, the options to commit and start flirting with Harding only appear later on when you have recruited all the companions.
If you go to Dock Town’s Black Emporium, you can buy the Hinterlands Oak gift item and give it to Harding. Buying this item will trigger the Fit for a Scout companion quest where you will need to give the gift to Harding.
NOTE:There are no hard choices to make that can lock you out from flirting with Harding. However, during the ‘Isle Of Gods’ main mission, if you send Harding to lead the second party, she will die. So if you are trying to romance Harding, which really happens after this mission, make sure to pick Davrin and keep her alive.
Complete the following Harding quests to strengthen your bond with her:
Harding and Taash will lock themselves into a romantic relationship if players do not commit to a romantic relationship and complete their quests.
How to Romance Davrin in Dragon Age: Veilguard
You recruit Davrin after completing the ‘A Warden’s Best Friend’ main quest, and after that, you can pursue to be in a romantic relationship with him.
Like other companions we mentioned above, you can buy the ‘Display on Ancient Griffons’ gift for Davrin from the Grey Warden Faction merchant in Lavendel. However, this location is only unlocked after you have recruited all seven companions and begin playing the ‘Something Wrong’ mission.
NOTE:You will be unable to romance Davrin in Dragon Age: The Veilguard if he dies during the ‘Isle Of Gods’ main mission. Thechoice of sending Davrin or Hardingfor distraction ends the life of the companion you select.
Either Davrin or Harding gets to lead the second party and if you intend to engage with Davrin in a romantic hot cutscene, make sure you select Harding to lead the second party. This way Davrin will survive but Harding will be killed by Gilhan’nain.
Complete the following quests for Davrin to strengthen your bond with him. Getting the Hero of the Veilguard status is not required to romance Davrin but this mission completion will significantly strengthen the bond.
Always go back to the Lighthouse and check on Davrin after completing missions. This will ensure you do not miss a chance to converse with him and select heart options, as always.

How to Romance Bellara Lutare in Dragon Age: Veilguard
Bellara is another companion that is recruited very early on in the game after completing the ‘Shadows Crossing’ quest.
If you want to romance Bellara then consider buying the Elven Frog Figurine gift for her after recruiting this elven mage. This gift can be bought at the Veil Jumpers Shop in the Arlathan Forest section of the game.
NOTE:If you send Bellara to dismantle the magical wards during the ‘Shadowed Sun’ main quest, she will be taken by Elgar’nan. After this point, Bellara will not be usable in the party until the final mission. This means you will miss out on watching the ultimate romance cutscene between Rook and Bellara, which happens after this mission.
Complete the following quests to strengthen your bond with Bellara:
Do not forget to visit Bellara after completing the story, side quests, and companion missions. This will give you a chance to have a conversation with her and unlock more side quests tied to Bellara.
How to Romance Emmrich Volkarin in Dragon Age: Veilguard
Similarly to all companions, you can further charm Emmrich by buying the ‘Haunted Statuette’ gift from the Mourn Watch merchant at Necropolis. After that, you will get the Fit For a Necromancer side quest where you have to give the gift to Emmrich and fast-track your relationship with him.
There are no deadlocks that will stop you from romancing Emmrich. He does not die in the game and neither are there choices involved that make him go into a hardened state. As a result, Emmrich is an easier companion to romance when you compare him with Lucanis, Neve, Harding, and Davrin.
If you have a hidden love for necromancy then you will find Emmrich more loveable than other companions. In this case, you must complete the following quests to strengthen your bond with him and romance by the end of the game’s story:
As always, visit the Lighthouse after every mission and see if there is a chance you can interact with Emmrich. These short conversations are usually about the current in-game situations and often give you the opportunity to flirt with the companion you want to romance in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

Taash is a non-binary companion in the game and if players want to have a romantic relationship with them then buying the ‘Priceless Ancient Trinkets’ gift should be a priority. This gift can be purchased from the merchant at the Hall of Valor.
There are no death-related choices for Taash so they, like Emmrich, are an easier companion to romance in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

How Many Partners Can You Romance in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
You can commit to only one companion as a romantic partner in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. This will also put the rest of the six companions into a friend zone and even if you select the heart options during their dialogues, you will never be able to romance them.
When Can You Romance
The first companion you commit to be in a romantic relationship with will be locked for a steamy and hot cutscene. This romantic cutscene will be triggered after ‘A Cage for Gods’ main mission where you kill Ghilan’nain and prepare to confront Elgar’na.
Your romantic companion will ask you to join them in the bedroom after returning to the Lighthouse.
