Originally delayed into early 2025, Demonschool finally has its release date after many eye-catching trailers and an excellent demo. Confirmed during the Nintendo Indie World Showcase by Necrosoft Games, you’ll soon be walking university halls and fighting a host of demons at night.
Demonschool Release Date Announced
Demonschool is officially coming to PC, Xbox Series S|X, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch onSeptember 3, 2025. Check out the dazzling release date trailer revealed during the Nintendo Direct:
You can still try out thedemo on Steamand get a good taste of what to expect from the full release. In short, it’s a lot like ATLUS’s SMT series, but with tactics combat. You’ll have your downtime during the day as you make new friends, explore the island, and take on side quests, while the dungeon-crawling section is where the tactics combat takes place.

15 different characters can join your party, meaning you’ll have plenty of unique compositions to experiment with. Each character has different activities and individual bonds, which allow you to improve their skills during combat. It’s a lot like Persona in that regard, but if Persona was inspired by Italian Horror Cinema and Japanese horror manga instead.
The developers have also confirmed that the game is verified for the Steam Deck, and given the style of the game, I think it’ll be best played on a handheld device like the Deck or Nintendo Switch anyway. It’s not a demanding game at all, and you can see how it runs by downloading the demo. At launch, it will come with English, French, Spanish, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese language support.

The only detail that hasn’t been revealed so far is the pricing. If I had to guess, it would probably be around $30 for the digital release and a bit more for any special collector’s physical edition. It’s currently not available to pre-order on any storefront, but you can wishlist it at the following links:
With the release date only a few weeks away, I doubt we’ll see another delay for Demonschool, and I will be there at launch. It’s nice to see a project come together that was revealed over three years ago.
Ali Hashmi
Ali has been writing about video games for the past six years and is always on the lookout for the next indie game to obsess over and recommend to everyone in sight. When he isn’t spending an unhealthy amount of time in Slay the Spire, he’s probably trying out yet another retro-shooter or playing Dark Souls for the 50th time.
