Bits and pieces of information have been coming in on specificweaponsthat will be included in Dark Souls 3 as well as some visuals and discussion on theSkillsor weapon arts we’ll see for each class. Here’s a list of some of the weapons we’ve seen glimpses of in these early play tests:
If there was a concern that the game was going to lack weapon variety, early indications are that it’s going to have an ample arsenal to choose from, as this list omits even the weapons that were playable during the network test. Some old names, some new names, and some surprising names in there.

Other than some unnamed hollows we’ve gotten glimpses of some of the largerbosscharacters we may end up facing in the game, and thanks to the opening cinematic trailer we were introduced to 3 Lords of Cinder.

As expected the game’slorewill be presented through a mix of item descriptions some of which can be found on the individual item and weapon pages on the wiki as well as the opening trailer and in game dialogue fromNPCs. Check out the opening trailer now and keep scrolling for a transcription of the narrative:
Yes indeed it is called Lothric,
Where the transitory lands of the Lords of Cinder converge.
In venturing north the pilgrims discover the truth of the old words.
The fire fades and the lords go without thrones.
When the link of fire is threatened the bell tolls,
Unearthing the old Lords of Cinder from their graves:
Aldrich Saint of the Deep
Farron’s Undead LegiontheAbyss Watchers
and the reclusive lord of the profaned capital,
Yhorm the Giant
Only in truth the lords will abandon their thrones
and the unkindled will rise
Nameless accursed undead,
Unfit even to be cinder.
And so it is,
That ash seeketh embers.
Here are a few item lore transcripts to get your imagination going:
Unique sword from an Eastern Land. Sharp due to high craftmanship
A sorcery of Archbishop Loyce and his bishops, said to be taught by McDaniel of the Frigid Valley
The land of the ancient Firelink Lore, Twin Spear of the Doran Knights, claiming to be those descendants
The Doran Knights wandered lands as mercenaries. They do not carry shields, are are reknown for their offensive prowess.
That there is enough to keep the lore archivists up for hours attempting to decipher the code.
