What do you get when you place cousins, sisters, children, grandchildren, etc., of celebrities in a house Big-Brother-style? You getClaim to Fame, anew reality game TV showwhere people are staying in a home once owned by singerKaty Perry. There, they will be breaking bread with some famous person’s kin, but they don’t know who. However, the show is not about unusual living arrangements. These temporary home occupants are contestants who are there to uncover true identities if they want to win a grand prize. The task causes them to sink into paranoia, jot down clues in their notebooks, lie and cross-examine one another.
Claim to Famedoes not feature any celebrities, but in a previously released trailer, it had already been revealed that relatives ofZendaya, Chuck Norris, Simone Biles, and Whoppi Goldberg’s granddaughter are among the celebrity kin. It’s probably fair to say that some guesses may not be hard, especially where there are strong resemblances. For example, one contestant is quickly recognized, thanks to her hard-to-miss resemblance to her sister, a very famous athlete. Wink-wink. But the other contestants don’t pick her out for some odd tactical reason. Therefore, she is basically a “dead woman walking.” Nevertheless, the spotlight is on some lesser-known branches of a family tree for a change —a well-known person’s family tree.

Those Within Close Proximity to Stardom Will Have Their Chance to Shine
The show is hosted by Kevin and Frankie Jonas of the famous Jonas brothers and challenges 12 celebrity relatives to step outside their famous family member’s shadow and live together under one roof, concealing their identity and lineage in the quest for their own fame and fortune. They will compete in challenges, form alliances, andplay DNA detectivein hopes of avoiding elimination and winning the coveted $100,000 prize, and staking their own claim to fame. According to Kevin:
“The house was fully art directed, so when they walked in, every statute, every painting was possibly a clue to someone’s identity. It was really fun to see people go down the rabbit hole. It was really fun when they were down the wrong rabbit hole the whole time.”
The house also has a Clue Wall, which contains pictures and 3D images of objects having to do with each celebrity relative. The house guests are fully sequestered with no access to television, internet, and no connection to the outside world.
