Chernobylite, a dystopian survival horror RPG that’s heavily inspired by Stalker, has released its Enhanced Edition as part of the new Blue Flames DLC this July 06, 2025.

Chernobylite Enhanced Edition And Blue Flames DLC Are Now Available

The Farm 51 has been constantly updating the community with updates they’ve implemented for their well-received RPG. The Blue Flames DLC is the first huge expansion this year and marks the start of the first season of this year’s roadmap. It follows 2 free DLCs, namely Monster Hunt and Ghost Town, which were released back in Halloween and Christmas seasons, respectively, last 2021.

Not only did players receive new side missions to explore and complete, but they’ve also been treated to new creatures to fight. The Pripyat Residential location has been made available in the Ghost Town DLC. This time around, Chernobylite’s Blue Flames DLC will be as big as the previous updates. However, we will also be receiving an additional treat in the form of an Enhanced Edition for the game’s PC version.

Enhanced Edition for the PC and Next-Gen Console Release

When Chernobylite was fully released late last year, it already had a hauntingly beautiful visual design. It was able to create a poignant and chilling atmosphere as you explored the ruins of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. Discovering its secrets while searching for your character’s fiancee made it all worthwhile because of how everything felt and looked realistic. But now, the game aims for the next level in graphic design. The Farm 51 is adding Ray Tracing and Tessellation into the mix.

As such, the lighting, shadow effects, and reflections are much more realistic than before.

RTX Graphics

showing the picturesque landscape of the wasteland as well as the forests and lakes. What synergizes very well with this art direction is the Tessellation, which streamlines and accentuates the graphical rendering of the objects you see in the game to enhance their fidelity.

The base game and the Monster Hunt and Ghost Town DLCs are certainly worth revisiting, especially if you’re very particular about the visuals.

Tactical Crossbow

Alongside this huge update is the release of theRPGon both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. To make matters even better, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners can download a free next-gen version of Chernobylite to significantly improve their experience.

Memory of You - New Activities & Events

If you’re heavily invested in the story, then I have good news for you as well! Memory of You will have you scouring the Zone once more to search and collect photos of Tatyana, your missing fiancee. The idea here is to view the corresponding shorts and voice-overs between the two of you to paint a clearer picture of your relationship before she even disappeared.

Silent Assassin: New Weapon - Tactical Crossbow

On the other hand, if you’re more interested in Chernobylite’s combat then a new Tactical Crossbow will be available to encourage you to do a stealthy playthrough of the game in case you haven’t already. This weapon is ideal for mid to close-range encounters. Additionally, you will be able to fully customize it as you please due to the numerous available improvements it comes with.

Blue Flames Pack

Finally, for only USD 3.99, you may avail of the Blue Flames Pack Chernobylite DLC to further enhance the look of your base. This is a cosmetic upgrade where a blue aura will surround the structures and base as a whole for aesthetic purposes. The Blue Flames Pack is quite similar in nature to the previous cosmetic bundles such as the Autumn Dread and Deadly Frost Packs, which change your weapon’s glow and impact against enemies.

Pending Post-Release DLC Roadmap

Based on Chernobylite’s Post-Release DLC Roadmap, there’s still a lot of content in store for us per quarter of 2022. Season 2 will feature new side missions once again together with a VR map and mysterious side activity. Next, Season 3 will introduce a new weapon together with exciting side missions to try out and another game mode. And last but not the least, the final season will include new events and one final game mode.

The developers are vigilantly committed to improving Chernobylite the best way they can. I honestly can’t wait to know the specifics for the future DLCs given how much the RPG has improved over the last few months since its full launch.
