Finesse weapons is a weapon type that applies toDaggers, Darts, Scimitars, Shortswords, and Rapiers. They also use your Dexterity score instead of Strength. If you’re playing aBard, Druid, Monk, Rogue, Sorcerer, or Wizard, you’re able to use either all or some Finesse weapons. Now, let’s jump into the best Finesse weapons in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Adamantine Scimitar

This rare one-handed Scimitar deals1d6 Slashing damage. If you have proficiency with this weapon, you can perform the Flourish and Lacerate weapon actions. Although there are only two actions, the Swift Hitter ability makes this a very unique Finesse weapon.

How you’re able to get the Adamantine Scimitar is throughcrafting it at theAdamantine Forgein Act 1. You just need to place a Mould—found at the Forge—and Mithral Ore into the Forge.

You can find the Ritual Dagger in theShattered Sanctum in the Goblin Camp, right on the table near Abdirak. He’s the Loviatar worshipper.

Duellist’s Prerogative

This legendary rapier is a beautiful weapon thatdeals 1d8 Piercing, and 1d4 Necrotic damage. With a +3 Weapon Enchantment, and two amazing abilities, it’s worthy of its legendary status.

We’re not done yet. You get the spell ‘Challenge to Duel‘. you’re able to challenge an enemy to only attack you, which can inflict Bleeding on the target. Also, you get the Bonus Action ‘Dueller’s Enthusiasm‘. When not dual-wielding, you can make an additional melee attack. Alongside Flourish, Piercing Strike and Weakening Strike if you have proficiency, this may be the best Finesse weapon in Baldur’s Gate 3. The only way to get Duellist’s Prerogative is torescue Vanra from Auntie Ethel in Act 3. This is from the ‘Save Vanra’ side quest.

Momentum increases your movement speed by 3m. So for two turns, you can more quite a long distance. You also gain Flourish and Lacerate with proficiency, so don’t miss out on this weapon. How you can get your hands on Speedy Reply is at theRisen Road. On acorpse of a caravan agent near the gnoll cave, you’ll find this Scimitar.

Crimson Mischief

Here’s another amazing legendary Finesse weapon. Crimson Mischief is a Shortsword thatdeals 1d6+2 Piercing and 1d4 Necrotic damage. It has Weapon Enchantment +2, and a few interesting abilities.

It’s interesting to see two differing abilities depending on which hand Crimson Mischief is in. You can it switch between hands depending on the situation. You’ll find this weaponon Orin’s body once you kill herin the Temple of Bhaal.

Shortsword of First Blood

This uncommon one-handed Shortsword thatdeals 1d6 Piercing damagewill deal more damage than you think. With proficiency, you also gain Piercing Strike and Flourish. It’s great for characters who are high in the Initiative order. I’d recommend having the wielder of this weapon always strike first to deal damaging blows, as you’ll see with this ability.

You can find Shortsword of First Blood in theDecrepit Village in the Underdark. It’ll be on adeep gnome’s corpseby the village entrance.

Bloodthirst

More legendary weapons, yay! Bloodthirst is a dagger thatdeals 1d4+2 Piercing damageand has a +2 Weapon Enchantment. There are a few amazing abilities this dagger has.

The things you can get away with while wielding this weapon is incredible. You’ll also find Bloodthirst onOrin’s body, and she’s wielding both Bloodthirst and Crimson Mischief. It seems that it’s intended for you to use both of Orin’s legendary weapons, and you can swap which hands are holding each at any point for different abilities.
