One of the newest additions in Modern Warfare 3’s gameplay is the inclusion of open-world maps.
They’re not open-world like in games such as Grand Theft Auto, it’s just open spaces that allow you to find new weapons and gear. In these open-world segments, you can find ascenders that help you get around better. This guide will show you all the ascender locations in the open combat missions for Modern Warfare 3 (MW3). So have this guide by your side while playing.
Modern Warfare 3 (MW3): All Ascender locations in the open combat missions
While most of Modern Warfare 3’s story is linear, minus the few light puzzles such asthe bomb timerin Countdown, the open-combat missions offer something different. you may play in diverse ways such as going quiet or going loud. It helps with the replayability ofa short campaign. Below, I’ll pinpoint each open-combat that has the ascender. So you can find them quickly.
Precious Cargo
Located on thenorthwestern sideof the map near a weapons drop. There also should be a place to use the ascender nearby.
From where you drop in,head to the back of the map but on the north side. Searchthe corners of the buildingin this area and you can find the tool. Consider findingall the weapons and gearon this map. To me, it was one of the tougher ones.
Crash Site
As soon as you get rid of the soldiers at the start of the map,follow the road and go right. Thereshould be a shackwith the ascender in it there.
Finding this ascender is easy. At the start of the missionswim left towards the beach. When you reach this spot,there’s going to be a cave to enter.Follow the route alongand the ascender should be on the ground.
This open-combat mission is different than the rest. Rather than going far and wide, you’ll be going up and down. To find the ascender,head to the 11th floor.In thesouthmost hallway on this floor, you should find the item’s location.
Sneak your way to thesoutheast part of the map. Along the way, you’ll find a weapon drop. From that pointkeep going south, then you should find the ascender.
